   Tungsten alloy blockis the product with regular shape, such as square, rectangle and other regular shape. Nickel, Titanium and lead also implied in block. Why we choose tungsten alloy to be the materials of the product instead of them, the reasons are follows. It's have excellent electric and thermal characters with high density 16 g/cm3 to 18.5g/cm3, which is much higher than Nickel, Titanium and lead. Tungsten alloy also have good mechanical strength and small coefficient of expansion and large elastic modulus.

Tungsten alloy is a kind of W-based matrix with the W content of 85-99%. Keeping the primary tungsten phase properties alloy block density can be up to 16.5-19.0g/cm3, making the product ideal counterweight for vehicles such as racing cars, airplanes and sailboats where size plays an important role. It's has excellent corrosion resistance and machinability.

Coinciding with the properties above, usually, tungsten alloy can be manufactured as the parts of military defense, extrusion die, some counterweights, such as yacht counterweights, vehicle counterweights, airplane counterweights, helicopter counterweights, boat counterweights, tank counterweights, etc.

Extrusion die is one of the forming techniques used in material processing, consisting of forcing the work pieces through a die, thereby reducing its cross section and increasing its length. Tungsten alloy block is the popular material for extrusion die because of its high melting point and corrosion resistance.

The Advantages of Tungsten Alloy Block

Why we adopt tungsten alloy for parts of extrusion die instead of lead or aluminum or other materials' block? Because tungsten alloy has high melting point of more than ten times higher than lead, which is important in extrusion die process. Another reason is tungsten alloy's high hardness. Reason that is even more important is that tungsten alloy is environmentally friendly and non-toxic.
